Ziost was a world made up entirely of an ancient dark forest. Not only was it a focal point of the dark side, but it was homeworld of the Sith species.

In 6,900 BBY, Dark Jedi fleeing the Battle of Corbos came to Ziost and subjugated the Sith species. Ziost became the capital of the ancient Sith Empire before the failures of Naga Sadow during the Great Hyperspace War. The Republic and Jedi cleansed the world in an act of genocide against the Sith species.

Ziost’s existence was largely forgotten after the Battle of Ruusan, due to the secrecy of the Darth Bane’s Sith Order. Many ancient and evil secrets remained on this place of great dark power.

In 1 ABY, after being roused on Yavin 4 by the Rebel Alliance, the mutated Massassi Kalgrath came to Ziost hoping to find his people. He was disappointed, having found only a frozen waste.

In 4 ABY, Lumiya created her lightwhip using technology she found on Ziost. Following the Battle of Endor, she apparently trained her apprentices–first Flint and then Carnor Jax–on Ziost (or possibly nearby Korriban).

In 13 ABY, the Jedi scholar Tionne set out to find Kalgrath. She traced his trail as far as Ziost, but there it disappeared.

The last known individual to visit Ziost was then-bounty hunter Zekk, whom ran into Ailyn Vel (alias “Boba Fett”) on the planet while the rival bounty hunters were searching for Bornan Thul.

Yavin mai 3, 2008

Yavin Prime, also known as Yavin (Yavin pronounced: YAH-vin), was a bright red gas giant in the Gordian Reach Sector (part of the Bright Jewel Oversector). It was located on the backward Gordian Reach, a hyperspace route from which the sector got its name. Yavin was best known for its moon, Yavin 4, which was the location of the Rebel Alliance’s base prior its discovery and near destruction in the Battle of Yavin. Of its overall total of 26, Yavin had two other moons that were habitable; Yavin 8 and Yavin 13.

Yavin’s atmosphere was made up of thick clouds swept about by violent, hurricane-force winds. Any craft that entered the atmosphere without benefit of a tracking beacon would quickly become lost, its pilot disoriented by the buffeting winds. It was believed these storms lasted all the way to the surface without letting up. The immense atmospheric pressure was also something to contend with, and could easily crush an unprotected ship. It was for these reasons that Yavin was chosen as the initial location for disposing of the Imperial Sun Crusher superweapon. However, the Sun Crusher’s superstrong hull proved resistant to Yavin’s dense atmosphere, and was quite space-worthy when later recovered by Kyp Durron.

Yavin seen in Star Wars: Empire at War.Yavin Station orbited the planet and was used for corusca gem “fishing” until it blew apart in 3,956 BBY and crashed on Yavin 22. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Baron Orman Tagge constructed Achtnak Turbine Station, hidden within the gas giant, from which he launched TIE attacks on Massassi Station; Achtnak was destroyed by Luke Skywalker. Lando Calrissian later established GemDiver Station in the giant’s orbit, for the “fishing” of corusca gems. GemDiver Station was attacked by the forces of the Shadow Academy.

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Yuuzhan Vong took Yavin along with the rest of the Yavin system in 26 ABY following the capture of the Jedi Praxeum.

Tatooine mai 3, 2008

In George Lucas’s Star Wars saga, Tatooine is the home planet of the Skywalker family, the setting for much of the action in the saga’s films (as well as several of the novels and other pieces of written fiction) and one of the most iconic Star Wars planets. The planet is either seen or mentioned in all six movies.

Tatooine is a desert planet in a binary star system (the two suns are named Tatoo I & Tatoo II), inhabited by poor locals who are mostly moisture farmers. The planet has been the site of repeated and failed attempts at colonization. The planet was under the stranglehold of the sith for thousands of years. The planet also was the area of many battles during the Great Sith Wars which occured 4,000 years berfore the Phantom Menace. During the prequel-era, it was ruled for a long period by the Hutts, being beyond the reach of the Galactic Republic. After the fall of the Republic, the Galactic Empire established a token presence on Tatooine, but the crime lord Jabba the Hutt still retained control of the planet.

After the fall of Jabba the Hutt, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa-Solo made attempts to forge friendships with the various settlements to unite under a centralized government with ties friendly and beneficial to the Alliance and New Republic.

Tatooine has several sizable settlements, the largest of which is the spaceport Mos Eisley, widely known for its rough-and-tumble nature and pervasive criminal underworld. Other settlements include Bestine (the nominal capital of the planet, where the Empire’s government is located), Anchorhead, Tosche Station, Mos Entha, Wayfar (near Jabba’s Palace), and Mos Espa, home of a sector-famous podracing track.

Because Tatooine is not a member of the Republic, Republic Credits were rarely used by merchants on the planet, who preferred to use the Huttese currency system, which consists of (in descending order of value) Peggats, Truguts and Wupiupi.

Notable geological features include the Dune Sea, an enormous desert, and the Jundland Wastes, a rocky region. Despite the planet’s extreme aridity, some forms of life do thrive on Tatooine, including the rodent-like Womp rat, elephant-like bantha, and the enormous, fearsome Krayt Dragon.

Tatooine is also home to two apparently native sentient bipedal species: Jawas, pygmy-like scavengers of technology, and Tusken Raiders, also known as Sand People, who are mysterious, reclusive, and extremely hostile to outsiders. Both races wear fully concealing robes keeping their true forms hidden from outsiders (it’s stated in the Expanded Universe that Jawas are rodent-like and vaguely hinted that the Jawas and Sand People share a common ancestor). It is implied in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic that their common ancestor are Humans, and that Tatooine is the original human homeworld.

Tatooine was once a member world of the pre-Republic Infinite Empire. Tatooine once had large oceans and a world-spanning jungle. This biosphere was destroyed by an orbital bombardment by the Rakata that “glassed” the planet (that is, fused the silica in the soil into glass, which then broke up over time into sand) and boiled the oceans away. Tatooine is also one of the planets visited in the award-winning computer role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Nar Shaddaa mai 3, 2008

Nar Shaddaa was the largest moon of Nal Hutta. More commonly known as the Vertical City, the Smuggler’s Moon and Little Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa was similar to Coruscant in that its surface was entirely overgrown with city sprawl since 24,500 BBY, although unlike Coruscant it was filthy, polluted, and infested with crime.

“Never have I been to a place so alive with the Force, yet so dead to it. The contrast is like a blade.”
―Visas Marr —

When the Hutts left their homeworld of Varl, they displaced the Evocii, native to Nal Hutta, to Nar Shaddaa. Eventually the moon was annexed by the Hutts, who started building spaceports and docking bays across its surface, some stretching out into orbit. Over the centuries, Nar Shaddaa grew as an important center of interstellar trade. Ancient refueling spires and loading docks reached out from the native soil into orbit. In between these ports, massive vertical cities grew. The urban areas on Nar Shaddaa were known as vertical cities since new layers of housing and entertainment buildings were built on top of older layers. Like Coruscant and Taris, the lower levels fell into disrepair and became havens for the lowest lifeforms (particularly the descendants of the Evocii which mutated into unwholesome savages) on the moon. The Hutts continued to exploit the Evocii in their new home, buying up their land and using them as a cheap labor source.

Though Nar Shaddaa was once a prosperous trade center, it lost its glory as the trade lanes shifted. Eventually, Nar Shaddaa became a criminal haven and gained a reputation of being the center of illegal operations in the galaxy. While much of Coruscant was filled with gleaming apartments and well-maintained skywalks, the entire moon that was Nar Shaddaa was dominated by decaying urban landscape and congested, polluted cities. Now distant from most galactic trade centers, the moon was allowed to run its own affairs with little outside interference.

The moon was protected by often-malfunctioning planetary shields. Anything illegal elsewhere could be bought and sold on Nar Shaddaa, and many young smugglers, pirates and criminals started their careers on the Smugglers’ Moon. Various sections of Nar Shaddaa were controlled by the Hutts and other criminal organizations.

Sections of the urbanized moon’s vertical city included the Duros sector and the Corellian sector, which contained three bars popular with bounty hunters—the Burning Deck, the Slag Pit, and the Meltdown Café, and another corner tavern called the Orange Lady.

In 3,951 BBY, the moon was visited by the Jedi Exile in her search for Zez-Kai Ell, a Jedi Master who cast her out of the Jedi Order. Ever since the Jedi Civil War ended, Nar Shaddaa became swarmed by thousands (if not millions) of refugees from destroyed worlds across the Galaxy, and still more ex-soldiers from both sides in the conflict choking up its spaces looking for work and/or new homes. Its refugee sector was one of the most crowded in the entire galaxy, and tightly controlled by the Exchange.

Around 1,002 BBY, the Brotherhood of Darkness operated a Sith academy on the world that specialized in the training of Sith Assassins. In 1,000 BBY, after the Battle of Ruusan, Set Harth and Bal Serinus dueled on the moon, but were both imprisoned by a Hutt crimelord. In 28 BBY, the Colicoids took over the spice processing on Nar Shaddaa. Han Solo spent part of his early career as a smuggler on Nar Shaddaa. There, he learned the tricks of the smuggling trade from some of the galaxy’s best smugglers such as Salla Zend, Shug Ninx and Roa. He had an apartment on the Smuggler’s Moon, which was maintained by his old house-keeping droid ZeeZee, but after he decided to leave the moon for the Corporate Sector, it was left unused.

Galactic Empire
Nar Shaddaa with an ominous Imperial presence.Jaxxon and Amaiza Foxtrain teamed up as smugglers, headquartered on the moon. Lando Calrissian also spent his early career on Nar Shaddaa. Prior to serving Raymus Antilles, C-3PO and R2-D2 traveled to the Smuggler’s Moon in an attempt to apprehend the Olag Greck. The bounty hunter Greedo the Younger and his family lived in the moon’s Corellian sector for several years, until an Imperial attack on a Rebel hideout resulted in the destruction and collapse of nearly twenty sector levels. Following the Battle of Yavin, Rebel agent Kyle Katarn traveled to Nar Shaddaa in order to find Imperial navigational charts related to the Dark Trooper Project; the Imperials had already put a bounty on his head which resulted in a skirmish in the streets.

The Vertical City around 5 ABY.In 5 ABY Katarn caused havoc once more while chasing the information broker droid 8t88 that had his father’s holodisc. When he found him, Kyle shot and severed the droid’s arm, and had to descend into the sewers to find the disc before ascending and being picked up by Jan Ors.

In 10 ABY, Han returned with his wife, Leia Organa Solo. During the trip, Leia encountered Purge survivor named Vima-Da-Boda who gave her an ancient lightsaber. When, he returned to his apartment, it was still being maintained by ZeeZee. There was yet another surprise for him; the dreaded bounty hunter Boba Fett, waiting on Nar Shaddaa to capture Solo. After a chase through the streets of Nar Shaddaa, they escaped along with Solo’s former comrades Salla Zend and Shug Ninx on the Millennium Falcon and the Starlight Intruder to Byss.

Later that year, while en-route to New Alderaan, Han and Leia along with his smuggler friends returned to Nar Shaddaa. Upon arriving at the city moon, they discovered an Imperial presence in the form of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Invincible, which was under the command of the Dark Jedi Zasm Kath and Baddon Fass. During an adventure through Nar Shaddaa’s broken-down cities, they encountered Gank bounty hunters, Boba Fett, Imperial troops, and deadly vrblthers. The Solos also encountered Vima and took her with them. As they were leaving Nar Shaddaa, they were met with resistance from Mako Spince and the Invincible though they also managed to escape. During the escape, the Invincible attempted to capture the Falcon though unfortunately it dragged the skyscraper where Mako Spince was located. As a result, the Invincible crashed onto the surrounding cityscape, causing heavy damage to lives and property.

The Lady Luck in a hangar. In 13 ABY while looking for Desann, Kyle Katarn once more returned to the city and looked for Rodian crimelord Reelo Baruk. He freed Lando Calrissian from Baruk’s hold and eventually found him; however the gangster managed to entrap him in a room full of turrets, but the Jedi escaped. Katarn and Calrissian managed to find Lady Luck and refuel her, using pipelines. When they were about to make their escape from Nar Shaddaa, Reelo attacked them with a handful of mercenaries. The criminal used a gun platform to hit the ship while his thugs boarded the ship, but Katarn leapt into the laser turret of the Lady Luck and shot down the gangster.

In 14 ABY, Lannik Racto manufactured droids in a hidden facility on the moon and sold them on the Invisible Market until Jaden Korr captured him at his headquarters on Coruscant, where Racto revealed the location of the factory.

In 26 ABY, the cities of the Smuggler’s Moon were destroyed by the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong. The Y’Toub system was surrounded by some of the Yuuzhan Vong’s deadliest warships. Several organic creations were sent down to Nar Shaddaa for multiple purposes. Different types of bacteria killed off the most of the inhabitants, then processed their remains into the soil of Nar Shaddaa. Then all the technology on the moon was also broken down and absorbed into the soil. Nar Shaddaa was then Vongformed to suit the invaders.

Though Nar Shaddaa was vongformed, after the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, it again became a haven for smugglers around 40 ABY.

Malachor V mai 3, 2008

Malachor V is a fictional planet in the Star Wars universe. It is featured in the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and mentioned in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It is the planet where the conflict of the Mandalorian Wars concluded.

A graveyard world resonating with the dark side of the Force, Malachor V is where the most terrible atrocity of the Mandalorian Wars took place. Malachor was a world taboo in Mandalorian culture, something the fallen Jedi Darth Revan used against them in order to win the war. Revan amassed an enormous fleet (composed of Jedi and Republic soldiers whose loyalty to Revan was in question) and sent it to the planet, providing the Mandalorians with a target too good to pass up. In a heated space battle that would determine the fate of the Mandalorian wars, a Republic force led by the Jedi Exile was commanded to attack the Mandalorian fleet orbiting Malachor V. With the full force of the Mandalorian neo-crusade arrayed against the Republic fleet the collateral damage was staggering. With the titanic battle at a brutal stalemate the Jedi Exile was prepared to seize at any opportunity to end the war. With wars end one victory away The Jedi Exile unveiled the Republic’s secret weapon the Mass Shadow Generator. Issuing the command to activate the Mass Shadow Generator, a weapon developed by Iridonian Zabrak engineer Bao-Dur; the Jedi Exile had unleashed devastation to literally crush all participants – Mandalorian, Jedi, and Republic soldier alike. Malachor was nearly wiped out, as upon its surface countless beings died in a cataclysmic explosion that engulfed the planet. In the resulting destruction, almost the entire Mandalorian fleet was obliterated—as well as many Republic vessels. Left orbiting the planet was the wreckage of countless Mandalorian and Republic warships. All that remained on the surface was a desolate graveyard echoing with the deaths of thousands of Jedi and Mandalorians, littered with destroyed ships, and inhabited by vicious Storm Beasts. The survivors of the Battle of Malachor were few, but most were fated for legendary status: Carth Onasi, Canderous Ordo, Bao-Dur and most telling of the atrocities of the battle, Darth Nihilus and the Jedi Exile.

The concentrated deaths of so many Jedi, Mandalorians, and Republic soldiers all at once sent a powerful shockwave throughout the Force, resulting in the Jedi Exile purposely severing all ties with the Force. It was Malachor that had marked Revan’s final descent into darkness, a journey that would at last be completed when the former Jedi hero declared himself Dark Lord of the Sith. His fall sent his Jedi Master, Kreia, in search of answers. She found them at the Trayus Academy.

From the ashes of Malachor V arose three immensely powerful Sith Lords: Darth Nihilus, Darth Traya, and Darth Sion. They nearly brought about the complete and utter destruction of the Jedi Order.

Their plans were finally foiled, however, by the Jedi Exile. Nine years after the end of the Mandalorian Wars, Malachor V was at last completely destroyed, along with the Trayus Academy, Darth Sion, Darth Traya, and, for the moment, the future of the Sith.

Yet, in the alternate Dark Side ending, Malachor V still exists. Malachor’s fate ultimately depends on the alignment of the Jedi Exile. Malachor V is also present and inhabited in the game Star Wars: Rebellion

The Trayus Academy

The Trayus Academy is a Sith academy on Malachor V established thousands of years before it was found by the Sith Lord Darth Revan. Both Revan and Kreia were corrupted by the dark teachings of the Sith in the academy. Here the Sith Lord Traya taught Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, who eventually betrayed her and cast her out of the Sith, after stripping her of her powers.

When Darth Traya returned to Trayus Academy, she used Darth Sion to test the Jedi Exile, who eventually overcame both Sion and Traya, and either destroyed Malachor or took the throne of Dark Lord of the Sith, depending on whether the player chose to go light side or dark side.

Korriban mai 3, 2008

System: Horuset
Position in System: 1st
Sector: Corporate
Region: Outer Rim
Capital City: Dreshdae
Diameter: 16,890 kilometers
Length of Day (std hrs): 28
Length of Year (local days): 780
Environment: Desolate wastes
Atmosphere: Breathable
Gravity: 1.4 times standard
Sentient Species: Sith (extinct)
Other Species: Various

This remote planet was the seat of the ancient Sith race. Korriban was the sole planet in the Horuset System, located across the galaxy from Cinnagar and Koros Minor. It was orbited by seven moons, and was unknown to the Old Republic before the rise of Naga Sadow. It was to Korriban that the ancient Dark Jedi fled, after they were exiled by the Jedi Knights. Korriban was a desolate world which, under the pall of Sith magic, became more hellish and dangerous. The native life there was twisted by the Dark Side, and the ghosts of Sith Dark Lords buried in the Valley of the Dark Lords roamed everywhere. The Sith Lords erected huge palaces and burial complexes, which honored not only the dead Lords but the current magicians as well. These ancient Sith enslaved the local population and put them to work building a huge monastery and excavating the Valley of the Dark Lords, then killed the planet’s inhabitants once the jobs were done. Exar Kun was led here by Freedon Nadd’s spirit, in an effort to recover certain Sith manuscripts. In the wake of the Great Sith War, the planet was virtually abandoned, although a few settlers managed to eke out a meager living. Those Jedi Knights who remembered Korriban, either through research or direct experience, referred to the planet as the ‘cradle of darkness.’ After the Battle of Naboo, the Commerce Guild established a base of operations on Korriban, ostensibly to attract corporations to a tax-free environment. The true nature of the Guild’s presence was the accumulation of a droid army, in anticipation of supporting the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Years later, Emperor Palpatine often visited Korriban, to help him center himself in the Dark Side of the Force.

Korriban Zombie

Category: Creatures
Type: Other
Affiliation: Dark Jedi and Sith
Planet of Origin: Korriban

This was the term used to describe those beings who were reanimated after their deaths by the ancient magic of Dathka Graush. After Graush’s murder, the spirits of these zombies were captured in the Heart of Graush, which was later buried with Graush in the Valley of Golg. The spirits which possessed the dead bodies were released whenever a being touched the Heart of Graush. They then set off, searching for their old bodies and then going in search of living flesh to eat, infecting their victims with their own magical disease and creating more zombies. The only way to kill one of thee zombies was to cut off its head. There was no other way to stop the zombies, and there was no cure for the disease, which seemed to affect only sentient beings.

Kashyyyk mai 3, 2008

add a comment

Kashyyyk (IPA: ['kæʃjɪk] or [ˈkæʃɪk]), also known as Wookiee Planet C, is a fictional planet in the Star Wars universe. It is the lush, tree-filled home planet of the Wookiees, who live in villages constructed in the trees similar to that of the Ewoks.

Early days

In the millennia before the rise of the Galactic Republic, Kashyyyk was a member world of the Infinite Empire. Its surface was terraformed by the Rakata, resulting in the abnormally large foliage which still covers the planet’s surface in modern times. Its ecology can be politely described as a “layered deathtrap”, the planet’s surface being encompassed in shadow by trees that are many miles high. The dangerous and hostile animals increase closer to the forest floor. Hidden on the planet’s surface is a Star Map, another piece in the puzzle of the location of the Star Forge.

Czerka Corporation and slavery

When Kashyyyk was discovered by the Czerka Corporation’s explorers, around 4,000 BBY, it was given the catalogue name G5-623, before a poll among Czerka stockholders selected Edean to become Kashyyyk’s “name”. Czerka conducted extensive Wookiee-slaving operations on “Edean”, as well as hunting several of its species almost to extinction. To ensure a relatively peaceful presence, Czerka supported the installation of friendly chieftains into power over the native tribes and would then prop them up with mercenaries and weapons shipments. In response, the chieftains would train their tribe to understand Galactic Basic (ostensibly to “know thine enemy” but in reality to make them better slaves) and allow Czerka to enslave a percentage of the tribe’s population. This is similar to how real slaving operations were conducted in Africa and South America.

The Clone Wars

During the epic Clone Wars of 22 to 19 BBY, Kashyyyk fought on the side of the Galactic Republic. During one such battle, Yoda of the Jedi council flew to Kashyyyk to assist in the fighting. This particular battle, known as the Battle of Kashyyyk, would be one of the last few battles fought in the Clone Wars before the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire. During this war, Order 66 was initiated and the clone troopers attempted to kill Yoda, who was sent by the Jedi Council to prevent Kashyyyk from falling to the Separatists, but the clones failed to kill the Jedi master, and he later escaped. After this, the clones successfully defended the planet from Separatist advances.

The “Dark Times”

During the period of the Galactic Empire’s reign, Kashyyyk, like all other planets in the galaxy, was forced into obeying the policies of the Empire. On one such occasion, following the destruction of the first Death Star, the Empire, under the direction of Darth Vader, went on a search for the rebels responsible. Kashyyyk was put under a blockade, along with Tatooine, in an attempt to locate Han Solo and Chewbacca. It was on a day when Chewbacca was returning home to his family to celebrate the sacred Wookiee holiday of Life Day that the Empire raided Chewie’s home, with no success in finding the Wookiee. On another such occasion, the Rebel Alliance, before the destruction of the first Death Star, attempted to raid the planet with Han Solo, looking for one Wookiee, to free the Wookiee population from enslavement. The Empire made an attempt to retaliate and stop the Rebels from freeing them, which succeeded. Han Solo fled in the Millennium Falcon after the Rebel advancement was crushed. The Wookiees remained enslaved by the Empire.

The New Republic

Following the defeat of the Empire, Kashyyyk joined the New Republic, formed by the leaders of the Rebel Alliance.

Place: Outer Rim, Anoat Sector, Hoth Quadrant, Granita Cluster

***Geography:

Molten metallic core, whole surface is covered with water (most of it frozen).
Massive oceanic movements underwater.
Seismic activity, causing many caves, tunnels and a constantly shifting surface.

No species, because temperature (< 0 degrees Celcius) forbids it except following species:
Lumni-spice
Predator Wampas
Omnivore Tauntauns
Hoth hogs
rodent species
Ice worms
Lichens

Intense snowstorms are helping to hold the temperature low, together with the gale force winds.

***History:

Possible named after the Jedi Hoth.
Unknown and unvisited before the Rebel Alliance settled.
A few pirates, as the Raskar, wanted to liberate the Lumni-spice, but that didnt worked.
Salmakk was the Smuggling base of the Raskar, that base became the Echo Base.

ABY: Habassa hinted Rebel Alliance about the Hoth quadrant as their new base candidate.
Luke Skywalker accidentally discovered Hoth when Alliance ships where flying towards it. He recommended that place as base for the Alliance High Command.

3ABY: After the ground battle, Hoth turned into a world of obscurity, visited by poachers, smugglers, xenobiologists, and tourists.
At some moment there was an Imperial Prison on Hoth.

Later: Empire Reborn base was settled on Hoth.
Luke Skywalker visited this planet (as also Dagobah) trying to retrieve the force-powers from Callista.
